Ten Other Things You Could Do In 46 Hours

Forty-six hours is a long time.

THON dancers dance for nearly two days, all for the kids. However, to put things into perspective for how long 46 hours really is, we compiled a list of 10 other things you could do in 46 hours.

Let’s take a look at what we came up with.

1. Watch “Barbenheimer” Nine Times

This past year, movie theaters saw a boom in attendance when Best Picture nominees “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer” were released on the same day. While they were both in theaters, it was a popular trend to see both back-to-back.

If you wanted to, you could easily watch both movies nine times during THON and still have time left over for bathroom breaks.

2. Play 11 Rounds Of Golf

The average round of golf takes about four hours, so in the span of 46 hours, you could golf a full round 11 consecutive times. There’s even two hours to spare in case you want to grab a hot dog at the turn.

3. Become 18% Fluent In Spanish

According to Course Cloud, it takes about 250 hours of dedicated practice to become fluent in Spanish as an English speaker. That means if you spend all 46 hours of THON with your head in a Spanish textbook, you could, in theory, achieve 18% of your journey to fluency.

4. See Big Ben, The Eiffel Tower, And The Colosseum

A flight to Europe takes about eight hours there and eight hours back. The flights within Europe are fairly short, only lasting one or two hours each. If the airlines have their flights timed correctly, you could fly to London, see Big Ben, fly to Paris, see the Eiffel Tower, fly to Rome, see the Colosseum, and fly home.

Sure, you’d have to take out your life savings to afford the trip, but it’d be a heck of a weekend.

5. Bake 92 Cakes

The average cake takes about 30 minutes to bake, which means during THON, you could bake 92 cakes. You can even double that number if you have an oven with lots of space. To quote Marie Antoinette, “Let them eat cake!”

6. Watch Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” Movie 16 Times

Taylor Swift’s “The Eras Tour” is arguably one of the most popular artist tours of all time. Due to that success, Swift released a version of the tour to movie theaters clocking in at around two hours and 45 minutes, meaning you could watch the tour 16 times during THON.

7. Blink 41,400 Times

Most THON attendees will probably do this one during THON rather than instead of THON. The average person blinks 15 times per minute, meaning THON attendees will blink around 41,400 times during the event.

8. Watch The Entire “Harry Potter” & “Star Wars” Movie Series

“Harry Potter” and “Star Wars” are two of the most popular movie series of all time, consisting of eight and nine movies, respectively. Clocking in at a total run time of about 44 hours, you could watch both series in their entirety during THON.

9. Listen To “FE!N” By Travis Scott 862 Times

In his current tour, rap artist Travis Scott is known for playing his hit song “FE!N” multiple times in a row per show. When he performed at the Bryce Jordan Center, Scott performed the song eight times. If Scott performed for the entirety of THON, he could up his game and perform the song 862 times consecutively.

10. Drive To Disney World, Spend The Day, & Drive Back

The drive to Orlando, Florida, where Disney World is located, takes about 30 hours round trip, leaving 16 hours to enjoy the day, ride some rides, eat some food, and spend an exorbitant amount of money.
