Six Brands That Should Sponsor THON
Anyone want THON-branded shoes?
One of the biggest ways that THON raises money is through its sponsored advertisers. While THON already has many great sponsors, there are still a few logical partnerships we’d love to see.
Let’s take a look at some brands that we think should sponsor THON.
Smucker’s Uncrustables
For those who don’t know, THON has a peanut butter and jelly station under the concourse to supply dancers with sandwiches when they need a quick bite to eat. It would only make sense that the nation’s most popular on-the-go PB&J provider step in with a sponsorship.
HOKA Shoes
The dancers, along with many others, are on their feet for the entirety of THON. Running footwear brand HOKA is known for making super comfortable and supportive shoes, so it’d be a logical sponsor for THON. Maybe it could even make the dancers some THON-branded shoes for the event.
Wilson Tennis Balls
Tennis balls are another staple item at THON. Wilson is one of the most recognizable brand names in the tennis ball industry, so it’d make perfect sense as a sponsor.
Old Spice Deoderant
One of the downsides of a sleepless 46-hour dance marathon is the smell. Proper personal hygiene is necessary to have a successful THON experience, so bringing in a major player in the deodorant field as a sponsor only makes sense.
Hasbro Games
In the wee hours of the night, the dancers often need things to keep them entertained. Hasbro is the perfect sponsor because not only do they make a ton of famous board games like Monopoly, but they also own Nerf, which could provide foam footballs and basketballs to play with, too.
Apple
Just like everyday music consumers, THON obtains permission to play almost all of its music by purchasing it on iTunes. Given that THON is raising so much money for a good cause, Apple should step in with a few iTunes gift cards to help THON update its soundtack.
