The Best No. 52 Jerseys To Rep At THON No. 52

Many numbers go into THON every year, like a combined $200 million donated to Four Diamonds since the marathon’s inception in 1973. This year, it’s defined by 46 hours and 708 dancers. Still, the magic number is 52. THON 2024 is the 52nd THON in history.

With that in mind, we decided to brainstorm some No. 52 jerseys to don at THON 2024 to celebrate the 52nd THON.

Patrick Willis: San Fransisco 49ers

Patrick Willis retired from football in 2015 after eight seasons. Within those years, the linebacker racked up impressive awards including, but not limited to, NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year, seven Pro Bowls, the Butkus Award, and the NFL 2010s All-Decade Team. Earlier this year, Willis received one of the greatest awards any NFL player could wish for in being named to the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

THON can be a hard-hitting event for many, and there are very few linebackers in NFL history who hit harder than Willis, so a No. 52 San Francisco Willis jersey is more than fitting for the occasion.

Roy Halladay: Toronto Blue Jays & Philadelphia Phillies

Harry “Roy” Halladay III, has worn his fair share of numbers throughout his 15-year stint pitching career in the MLB. However, during his time in Toronto, he repped No. 52 for a few seasons. Halladay started with the Blue Jays in 1998 before also playing with the Phillies. Halladay had a very successful career and won the Cy Young Award twice, was named to the All-Star team eight times, and pitched a perfect game in 2010. Both the Blue Jays and Phillies retired his jersey, and he was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

A Halladay jersey would undoubtedly be a crowd favorite after what he accomplished with the Phillies.

CC Sabathia: New York Yankees

In 2008, Sabathia signed the largest contract ever signed by a pitcher with the New York Yankees, worth $161 million. The lefty made good on this money just a year later, winning the World Series with the Yankees and collecting ALCS MVP honors along the way. Sabathia’s career, which included time in New York, Cleveland, and Milwaukee, included nominations for an All-Star team six times.

Clay Matthews: Green Bay Packers

Finishing off the list with another accomplished linebacker, a Clay Matthews jersey is sure to get compliments from Madden Mobile players of the past. In his 11 seasons in the NFL, the Packer legend managed six Pro Bowl appearances and a Butkus award. As if that wasn’t enough, Matthews also clinched a Super Bowl ring.
