Brainstorming Penn State-Themed Covers For EA College Football 25

The long wait is finally over.

A few weeks ago, EA Sports announced the latest version of its college football video game series is finally releasing this summer with a full announcement and trailer coming in May.

What will likely also come in May is the highly-anticipated cover release. Since the last version of the game came out over a decade ago, many fans have been speculating which current athlete or program will be featured on the newest edition of the game.

While it’s unlikely that Penn State will get the nod, we thought it would be fun to brainstorm some of our own Dear Old State-themed covers for the game. Let’s take a look.

The Nittany Lion

Not only does this cover feature the Symbol of our Best, but it also compiles a few other photos of prominent Penn State players, students, and experiences, encapsulating Penn State in one cover.

James Franklin

Penn State has one of the most iconic entrances in all of sports, and James Franklin is always right up front. Franklin has been at Penn State for most of the time since EA’s NCAA Football 14 came out, so he would be perfect to fill in the last decade’s worth of covers.

Abdul Carter

Penn State is known for producing defensive studs, and Abdul Carter is one of the top ones on the roster right now, making him a great player to represent the university on the cover.

Drew Allar

Drew Allar is Penn State’s franchise player at the moment, so if any Nittany Lion had a chance of actually making it onto the cover, it’s probably him.

The White Out

While the real game will likely feature a specific player, if EA were to instead choose an event, we believe the White Out would be the top pick. It truly is the best atmosphere in college sports and will hopefully be featured in the actual game when it comes out this summer.

The Lawn Boyz

Penn State’s running back room is almost as deep as it’s ever been, with multiple talented backs that could all easily be featured on a cover.

Unrendered Nittany Lion

The first teaser for the game featured an early look at a slightly-terrifying version of the Nittany Lion that hasn’t been fully designed and rendered yet.
