Penn State men’s lacrosse is ranked inside the top 10 in both national polls this week. The Nittany Lions jumped to No. 5 in the Inside Lacrosse poll and moved up one spot to No. 7 in the USILA Coaches Poll released Monday.
The Nittany Lions have rattled off six straight wins since their season opener against Colgate, now sitting at 6-1. Penn State’s most recent win came on Saturday against Marquette in a 13-7 victory with a strong performance from the team’s defense. Head coach Jeff Tambroni’s side also has notable wins against No. 8 Yale and No. 12 Cornell.
Penn State is the top-ranked Big Ten team in both polls, jumping over No. 8 Maryland in the USILA poll.
Penn State opens its Big Ten play against Ohio State on Sunday, March 24, in Columbus, Ohio. The opening face-off is set for 2:30 p.m. and folks can watch on the Big Ten Network.
