Penn State Men’s Hockey’s Aiden Fink & Simon Mack Collect Big Ten Postseason Awards

Following the conclusion of Penn State men’s hockey’s season, freshman Aiden Fink reeled in two postseason conference awards and junior Simon Mack earned one, too.

Fink was one of three nominations for Big Ten Freshman of the Year but was overcome by Michigan State defenseman Artyom Levshunov.

Fink did, however, earn a unanimous selection onto the Big Ten All-Freshman team, and his team-best 34 points earned him a bid as an All-Big Ten honorable mention.

Defenseman Mack earned the Big Ten Sportsmanship Award for Penn State. Mack registered four goals and 12 assists for 16 total points this season.

The Nittany Lions’ season came to an end at the hands of then-No. 8 Minnesota in the first round of the Big Ten Tournament. The team wasn’t selected to the NCAA Tournament after its early conference tournament exit.
