Penn State’s Page Center To Honor CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta March 25

Penn State’s Arthur W. Page Center will host its eighth annual virtual award show at 4 p.m. on Monday, March 25.

Every year, the Arthur W. Page Center recognizes three public communications professionals who have shown a lifetime of dedication and represent integrity in their field.

The Page Center honors its founder Larry Foster’s legacy by recognizing these communicators who have achieved renowned status as trusted sources and influenced public awareness and opinion. The award recognizes professional excellence in the fields of business, journalism, and public relations.

Along with Dr. Sanjay Gupta, chairwoman of Teneo Holdings LLC Ursula Burns and chief communications officer of Levi Strauss & Co. Kelly McGinnis will also receive the Page Center’s Larry Foster Award for Integrity in Public Communication.

Gupta is the award-winning chief medical correspondent for CNN and host of CNN podcast “Chasing Life.” As a practicing neurosurgeon, Gupta plays an integral role in CNN’s reporting on health and medical news for all of the channel’s shows nationally and worldwide.

Burns serves as the first African American woman to be CEO of a Fortune 500 company and has been listed by Forbes several times as one of the 100 most powerful women in the world.

McGinnis acts as head of communications and media relations at Levi Strauss and founded “Time to Vote,” an initiative that encourages companies to ensure their employees have time off to vote.

Each honoree will participate in a question-and-answer session and discuss the role of truth-telling and integrity within their fields.

The event is accepting registration to attend now and is free to stream.
