Report: Penn State Quarterback Jaxon Smolik Expected To Miss Time With Injury

Penn State quarterback Jaxon Smolik suffered a significant injury during the spring practice window, a source told Blue White Illustrated’s Ryan Snyder Friday.

The 6’1″ quarterback was present at the first spring practice viewing session but hasn’t been seen for the last two media sessions.

The Iowa native spent the 2023 season behind Drew Allar and Beau Pribula but registered two snaps against Delaware. Smolik was expected to have a similar role with the team this year.

Smolik’s injury brings the number of healthy scholarship quarterbacks to three with freshman Ethan Grunkemeyer early enrolling at the start of the spring semester.
