Penn State Men’s Lacrosse Falls Four Spots In Inside Lacrosse Poll

Penn State men’s lacrosse drops out of the top five in both national polls. The Nittany Lions find themselves at No. 8 in the Inside Lacrosse poll and No. 7 in the USILA Coaches Poll released Monday. This is a multi-spot fall in both polls coming off a No. 4 ranking the week prior.

The drop comes after Penn State’s first loss since the season opener in February against Colgate. On Sunday, March 31, the Nittany Lions fell to No. 6 Maryland due to a last-quarter surge from the Terrapins.

The blue and white will look to bounce back at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 6, when it takes on another top-ten team in No. 7 Johns Hopkins. The game will be played at historic Homewood Field in Baltimore, Maryland, but folks can watch on ESPNU. After that, the Nittany Lions will have bouts against Michigan and Rutgers to close out the regular season.
