Penn State Wide Reciever Malick Meiga Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football wide receiver Malick Meiga entered the transfer portal Tuesday evening, he announced on Twitter. Meiga is the second Nittany Lion receiver to enter the portal after KeAndre Lambert-Smith entered Monday. The redshirt senior will depart Happy Valley with two years of eligibility remaining.

Meiga joined Penn State in 2020, and he redshirted his freshman year and went on to play 23 games over the next three seasons, primarily on special teams. He was named a team captain last season but injuries limited him to playing just seven games. In his Penn State career, Meiga finished with nine receptions for 106 yards.

Although it was unlikely Meiga would make a significant impact at the receiver position this season, the wide receiver room continues to thin out as Penn State searches for receiver help.
