Report: Penn State Football Defensive Lineman Davon Townley Enters Transfer Portal

Penn State football defensive lineman Davon Townley has entered the transfer portal, according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz.

This marks the second time the lineman has entered the portal after first doing so in December 2022 before returning to the roster ahead of the 2023 season. After returning to the Nittany Lions for the 2023 season, Townley had just one tackle on limited defensive snaps.

The Minneapolis, Minnesota, native originally committed to the Nittany Lions as a four-star recruit with the Class of 2021. Townley had just three total tackles during his first year in the blue and white.

Townley became the third Nittany Lion to enter the portal this spring period after Malick Meiga entered and KeAndre Lambert-Smith transferred to Auburn.
