Penn State White Out Featured In College Football 25 Trailer

After a long wait, EA Sports College Football is almost back.

It’s been a decade since Entertainment Arts last released a college football video game, due to issues with name, image, and likeness rules. After years of waiting, the game is finally coming back this summer, with a release date set for July 19.

The developers have been slowly teasing details about the game for months but on Friday, they finally released the first official trailer for the game with Penn State featured several times.

The trailer focuses on teams taking to the field, highlighting iconic entrances throughout the college football world, like Notre Dame’s “Play Like a Champion Today” sign and the USC Trojan stabbing the logo at center field, among others.

Just like in many of the other reveals and teases, Penn State was featured in this trailer. Specifically, the Nittany Lions can be seen twice. The first appearance shows the crowd at the Penn State White Out game, and the second shows the players, arms locked, in the tunnel.

The fact that the White Out is in the game is no surprise. It’s one of the most iconic college football atmospheres. The in-game depiction is likely to be fairly realistic, too. According to EA’s website, the game will focus heavily on maintaining the realism of these traditions.

Also in the teaser trailer is a shot of Penn State’s drum major performing his iconic pregame flip.

“With unique team run-outs, rivalry rituals, synchronized crowd-chants, loudness meters as well as real game-day audio, fight songs and, of course, mascots, it’ll feel like home everywhere you look,” the site reads.

Penn State is also featured in the game’s cover art, as a white helmet with a blue stripe pokes out amid dozens of other players.

The highly anticipated game is available for pre-order now. The deluxe edition will be released on July 16 and the regular edition will be released on July 19 for XBOX Series X and PS5.
