Former Penn State Professor Accused Of Stalking & Harassment

A former Penn State adjunct professor has been accused of stalking and harassing two women, according to an affidavit.

Phillip Cmor, who taught COMM 260W at Penn State and left his position at the end of the 2023-24 academic year, stalked and harassed at least one of the women beginning in high school, according to the affidavit. The two victims provided police with 38 emails containing text messages, social media messages, photographs, screenshots, and more.

One of the victims first reported Cmor’s behavior in 2018, though this resulted in no criminal charges, per the affidavit. However, when the victim reported the matter to her Penn State Commonwealth Campus’ police, Cmor was banned from attending her home basketball games. However, he continued to watch her play at away arenas, traveling several hours to do so.

While he is no longer employed by the university, Cmor still works as a freelance sports writer.
