Penn State Women’s Hockey 2024-25 Schedule Release

While it may be hot outside, we’re always thinking about hockey season.

The Atlantic Hockey America (AHA) Women’s League schedule was released Wednesday, cementing Penn State women’s hockey conference schedule for the 2024-25 season.

With the College Hockey America (CHA) and Atlantic Hockey Association merger now complete, the Nittany Lions are now a part of the AHA for the upcoming season. The AHA consists of Lindenwood, Mercyhurst, Penn State, RIT, Robert Morris, and Syracuse.

The back-to-back CHA champions will meet Northeastern at Pegula Ice Arena for the first series of the season on Thursday, September 26, and Friday, September 27.

Penn State’s non-conference stretch will continue with matchups against UConn, Union, Dartmouth, and a showing at the Ice Breaker Tournament. The Nittany Lions also will participate in the annual Smashville Showcase from November 29-30, which will feature Frozen Four qualifier Clarkson.

Conference play for the Nittany Lions will start when Syracuse travels to Hockey Valley on Thursday, October 31, and Friday, November 1. After a week off, Penn State will face Mercyhurst for the first time since the 2024 CHA Championship game on December 6 at Mercyhurst. Penn State shut out Mercyhurst 1-0 to clinch their second straight CHA Championship.

Conference matchups against Robert Morris at home and Lindenwood on the road will round out the 2024 calendar year for the Nittany Lions.

Coming out of a holiday break, Penn State will face Bemidji State on Friday, January 3, and Minnesota on Saturday, January 4. Series on the road against RIT, Syracuse, Lindenwood, and Robert Morris will carry the program through the start of February. A home series against Mercyhurst will serve as a brief homecoming on Friday, February 7, and Saturday, February 8. One more road series against RIT the following week will end the regular season for the Nittany Lions.

The AHA playoffs will begin on Saturday, February 22, with the quarterfinals and finish on Saturday, March 8, with the championship game.
