[Photo Story] Lift For Life 2024

On Thursday, June 13, Penn State football hosted the 21st installment of Lift for Life in conjunction with Uplifting Athletes. The event, which set a fundraising goal of $40,000 in 2024, is intended to raise awareness for rare diseases.

The main event took place in Holuba Hall with a number of events that Penn State’s offensive and defensive units competed in through the afternoon.

The event kicked off with a tug-of-war, which neither team was willing to lose. Each time a side came out on top, the opposing side rallied and won the next round.

The attention then turned to tire-flipping as Nittany Lions moved the rims around Holuba Hall while their teammates cheered them on.

The next event was the medicine ball toss, as players attempted to throw medicine balls as high as possible.

After the toss, the team then took turns trying their hand (feet?) at kicking, going for accuracy instead of distance.

The event also presented a golden opportunity for audience members to ask for autographs from the team, as the Nittany Lions signed everything from notepads and pictures to footballs and helmets.

All throughout the event, audience members even joined in with the teams, tossing and catching footballs.
