Tenacious D To Perform At Bryce Jordan Center October 26
Tenacious D, a comedy rock duo made up of Jack Black and Kyle Gass, will perform at the Bryce Jordan Center on Saturday, October 26, the BJC announced Wednesday. Tickets for the event will go on sale at 10 a.m. on Friday.
The duo will perform at Penn State to encourage voting in the 2024 election. In the past, Tenacious D has performed benefit concerts for Democratic politicians, including a gig at Kent State in 2012.
Black and Gass have gone on several tours as a duo and performed globally, including a sell-out gig at Madison Square Garden. They won a Grammy in 2015 for “Best Metal Performance” for their song “The Last in Line.” They’ve also earned recognition in the Hollywood Independent Music Awards and the Kerrang! Awards.
The duo has released four albums: Tenacious D, The Pick of Destiny, Rize of the Fenix, and Post-Apocalypto.
Tenacious D will join the likes of Lil Yachty, Kacey Musgraves, Jelly Roll, Cody Johnson, and Zach Williams as artists set to perform at the BJC.
