Penn State Football No. 9 Overall Team In College Football 25

Penn State football will have the ninth-best overall team in EA Sports’ College Football 25 video game, the developer announced Friday. With an 88 overall, the Nittany Lions stand as the third-best team in the Big Ten behind Ohio State and Oregon.

Last season, the Nittany Lions ended with the regular season at 10-2, the two losses coming against Ohio State and Michigan before Penn State lost to Ole Miss in the Peach Bowl.

This year, the Nittany Lions will look to make it to the College Football Playoff for the first time in their history with a revamped 12-team playoff. Penn State will have different coordinators on both sides of the ball as they have brought in Andy Kotelnicki to be their new offensive coordinator and Tom Allen as their new defensive coordinator.

Penn State’s in-game rating nearly matches up with its real-life odds to win a national title. Per FanDuel, the Nittany Lions enter the 2024 season with the eighth-best odds to win it all.

Penn State will have the No. 12 overall offense and the No. 8 overall defense in College Football 25, scheduled to be released on July 19.
