Penn State Introduces New Mailing Address Format

Penn State has introduced a new system for mailing addresses for on-campus addresses, it announced in a release. Effective Monday, July 1, all on-campus addresses should be written as such:

Penn State University
Individual name
XXX Building Name (Ex. Suite # Building Name; 104 University Support Building I)
XXX NEW 911 address (Ex. 8 University Drive)
University Park, PA 16802

The university said the new system is designed to better assist emergency services when responding to incidents on campus. Updates are being made to Penn State and the Office of the Physical Plant’s online systems, and old mailing addresses will still be usable for the remainder of the calendar year.
