Your Arts Fest 2024 Weather Forecast

From unique art and food vendors to local live music, this year’s Central Pennsylvania Festival of the Arts, better known as Arts Fest, will be a weekend you don’t want to miss. This year marks State College’s 58th annual Arts Fest and is arguably the most anticipated summer weekend in the borough.

Given that each day will be filled with walking around campus and downtown State College, we want attendees to feel as prepared as possible for the annual festival. Here’s a look at AccuWeather‘s forecast for the week.

Wednesday

Throughout the day, expect some heavy showers and thunderstorms. Due to these storms, be cautious of potential flooding, damaging winds, and a tornado. Expect a high of 91 degrees, a real feel of 99 degrees, and southeast winds at six miles per hour.

With cloudy, miserable weather, we suggest packing some clothes to keep you bundled up, like a raincoat or poncho. Luckily for attendees, the main events will kick off on Thursday.

Thursday

Although Thursday will be a bit cooler with a high of 80 degrees and a real feel of 82 degrees, the storm will pass leaving only scattered, light showers throughout the day. Despite the cloudy conditions, the UV index will be a moderate five.

Winds are expected to pick up slightly northwestbound at seven miles per hour. While walking around for the first round of events, we recommend packing a poncho or umbrella to stay dry.

Friday

With clouds expected to cover the sky most of the day, Friday is predicted to have a high of 83 degrees and a real feel of 86 degrees with a moderate UV index of four.

Southwest winds will lighten up at four miles per hour.

Saturday

Make sure to be prepared for more rainy conditions on Saturday as showers are expected in the morning with scattered thunderstorms in the afternoon.

Saturday will be warm and even humid at times with partly cloudy skies. A high of 87 degrees and a real feel of 93 degrees is anticipated with a very high UV index of 10. Saturday is set to be a blessing in disguise for folks sensitive to the sun.

Sunday

Closing out the weekend strong, Sunday will consist of a high of 86 degrees with a real feel of 90 degrees and a high UV index of eight. We recommend light clothes and your favorite pair of sunnies.
