Washington Set As Penn State 2024 White Out Opponent

Penn State football will face Washington in its 2024 White Out game, the team announced Monday.

Washington will experience its first White Out atmosphere in its first year in the Big Ten. The Huskies will become the 10th team hosted by Penn State in a White Out.

Washington and Penn State have faced off three times, most recently in the 2017 Fiesta Bowl. Penn State has never lost to the Huskies.

Washington is in the midst of heavy turnover as it enters its new conference. The Huskies played in the College Football Playoff last season, but lost much of that team’s mojo after former head coach Kalen DeBoer took over as Alabama’s head coach. Since new head coach Jedd Fisch arrived to campus, he’s relied heavily on the transfer portal to build out his new group.

Penn State is 11-8 all-time in White Out games and is riding a four-game win streak in the event. Since coming to Happy Valley, James Franklin holds a 6-3 record in “the Greatest Show in College Sports.”
