Penn State is no stranger to playing themed games in tough road environments. Ohio State hosted Penn State in a “Scarlet the Shoe” event, while Purdue blacked out its crowd at the start of the 2021 season.

Penn State hosted the Mountaineers in a Helmet Stripe game last year, a theme set to return against Ohio State. The Nittany Lions will Stripe Out Beaver Stadium against UCLA on October 5.
