Penn State Football’s Jameial Lyons & Kaveion Keys On Interim Suspension

Penn State football defensive end Jameail Lyons and linebacker Kaveion Keys have been placed on interim suspension to deal with a personal matter by the program, a Penn State Athletics spokesperson confirmed to Onward State on Wednesday. The spokesperson added the program had no further comment on the matter.

The two players’ suspension came at the start of Penn State’s preseason training camp, which began Wednesday, one month before the start of the 2024 season. There is no timeline for their return.

Both players are entering their second year at Penn State. Last year, Lyons burned his redshirt and made eight appearances en route to chalking up six tackles and a sack. Keys made two appearances and recorded one tackle against Delaware.
