Penn State Football’s Nick Singleton & Kaytron Allen Named To Doak Walker Award Watch List

Penn State football running backs Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen have been named to the Doak Walker Award watch list. The award is given annually to the nation’s best running back.

Penn State is one of 10 schools with two running backs on the list, including Illinois, Ohio State, and Oregon. Both running backs are juniors who have been consistent starters for the Nittany Lions since they were freshmen.

At Penn State, Allen has recorded 1,769 career rushing yards, 16 career rushing touchdowns, and 2,075 career all-purpose yards. He was given an All-Big Ten honorable mention in 2022 and shared last year’s Penn State Offensive MVP recognition with Singleton.

Singleton has recorded 1,813 career rushing yards, 2,782 career all-purpose yards, and 20 career rushing touchdowns. He’ll also spend this season as a kick returner for the Nittany Lions and has already made the watch lists for the Maxwell Award, the Walter Camp Award, and the Paul Hornung Award.
