Penn State, State College Announce Move-In Week Parking Changes

With Penn State’s fall 2024 move-in weekend (week?) quickly approaching, both the school and the State College Borough released changes for parking and transportation.

University Park

Penn State will set closures for several parking lots, including Lot 22 (Eastview Terrace), Lot 42 (Nittany Apartments), Lot 81 (South/Pollock Halls), and Lot 82 (East Halls). Beginning Sunday night, these lots will be reserved for 30-minute unloading.

Permit holders for those lots must move their vehicles to Jordan East or Stadium West during the move-in period. Overnight parking will be allowed through Sunday, August 25. Folks who have permits for those lots may move back to their assigned area beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, August 25, and must be parked in their assigned lot by midnight that night.

From Monday, August 19, through Sunday, August 25, Brown E, Green C, Green N, Yellow H, Yellow J, and Yellow T lots will be closed. Folks parking in those lots may move to Jordan East or Stadium West, as well as certain other parking lots depending on their pass.

Additionally, sections of the HUB Deck and East Deck will be reserved for move-in parking from Monday to Sunday, August 25.
