First Day Of Fall 2024 Classes Prop Bets

Welcome home, folks!

As Penn Staters return to Happy Valley for another school year, we thought it would be fun to theorize some trends around campus. We’ve compiled a list of the best prop bets for the first day of classes.

For those unfamiliar with prop bets, Onward State co-founder Evan Kalikow put it best: “A prop bet is short for proposition bet. Basically, it’s a bet on something not commonly betted upon. For example, lots of people bet on the score of the Super Bowl, but how many people bet on how many times the winning coach will say ‘humbled’ in the post-game press conference? That’s a prop bet.”

Just a reminder, Onward State is not a gambling organization and does not endorse gambling in any way. However, we do endorse having a good time, so here are some bets we came up with.

Prop Bets

  • You already don’t feel like cooking, so you just get Snap Pizza: 11-1
  • Getting to class before the professor: 4-1
  • Walking to class instead of taking the bus: 15-1
  • Professor playing popular music before class to seem cool: 10-1
  • Looking up your professor on “Rate My Professor” during class: 20-1
