Your Guide To Welcome Week At Penn State

Welcome back, folks!

Whether you’re a fourth-year student dreading graduation or an incoming freshman still reeling from saying goodbye to your parents, there are activities for you to enjoy in your first week back on campus!

Here’s a comprehensive list of all of the events that Penn State has to offer for Welcome Week:

On Monday, folks will be able to commemorate their first day of class with a photo booth on the first floor of the HUB. The booth, complete with hats and wigs, will be open from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Later that evening, Drag Bingo will take place in the HUB’s Alumni Hall at 8 p.m.

On Tuesday, there will be a showing of Monsters’ University at Nittany Night at 8 p.m. in the HUB’s Flex Theatre. Students will also have the chance to learn more about Penn State’s Homecoming.

On Thursday, Rock the Ice will take place from 8:30 to 10 p.m. at Pegula Ice Arena. Skate rentals will be free for students, but you can bring your own if you want.

On Friday, Movin’ On and SPA will wrap up the week with a performance from Swae Lee at LightsUP. The concert will be free and kick off at 5 p.m. on the HUB lawn. Lee will be joined by student performers and other openers yet to be announced.

Penn State’s Involvement Fair will take place Wednesday, September 3, on the HUB lawn. Clubs will line up along the HUB lawn to introduce themselves to their newest prospects. The fair was previously scheduled for Wednesday, August 28.
