Report: KJ Hamler Waived By Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills have waived former Penn State wide receiver K.J. Hamler, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported Tuesday afternoon. Hamler signed with Buffalo as a free agent in January and scored one rushing touchdown in the Bills final preseason game.

Hamler played for Penn State from 2017-19, recording 98 catches, 1,658 yards, and 13 touchdowns during that time. Hamler was drafted with the 46th overall pick by the Denver Broncos in 2020 and played four seasons in the Mile High City. As a rookie, the 5’9″ and 178-pound receiver hauled in 30 receptions for 381 yards and three touchdowns.

Hamler then tore his ACL in 2021 and struggled to get significant playing time. He played just 10 more games in Denver before joining the Indianapolis Colts practice squad in September of last year. After he was released by the Colts, Hamler signed with the Bills in December 2023.
