Penn State Men’s Hockey Releases 2024-25 Big Ten Schedule

The countdown to hockey season is on.

Penn State men’s hockey released its 2024-25 Big Ten regular-season schedule Wednesday, finalizing its game dates after previously setting its out-of-conference schedule. The Nittany Lions will kick off play in November against Minnesota.

Penn State starts the season with three straight road games for the second straight season. Penn State will face the Golden Gophers for an away series on Friday, November 1, and Saturday, November 2.

After its bye week, Penn State will have back-to-back matchups at home. The Nittany Lions will host Wisconsin on Friday, November 15, and Saturday, November 16, and Michigan on Friday, November 22, and Saturday, November 23. The Nittany Lions will finish the first semester on the road against the Buckeyes from Friday, December 6, to Saturday, December 7.

Penn State will open the New Year at Wrigley Field for the Frozen Confines: Big Ten Hockey Series against Notre Dame slated for 8:30 p.m. on Friday, January 3. It will wrap up its midwest trip in South Bend on Sunday, January 5, to finish the series.

Penn State will finish the month of January in Hockey Valley for six straight games against conference foes Michigan State on Friday, January 10, and Saturday, January 11, and Ohio State on Friday, January 24, and Saturday, January 25.

February will bring back-to-back road weekends for the Nittany Lions as they travel to Ann Arbor to face the Wolverines on Friday, February 1, and Saturday, February 2, before traveling to face the Badgers on Friday, February 7, and Saturday, February 8.

Penn State will return home for a series against Notre Dame on Friday, February 14, and Saturday, February 15, before heading to Michigan State for its last regular season away series on Friday, February 21, and Saturday, February 22. The regular season comes to a close when the Golden Gophers come to Hockey Valley on Friday, February 28, and Saturday, March 1.

Big Ten Tournament play is slated for March 7 for the best-of-three quarterfinals series.
