Penn State’s Izzy Starck Named Big Ten Women’s Volleyball Freshman Of The Week

Penn State women’s volleyball setter Izzy Starck was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week, the conference announced Monday. The honor came after the Nittany Lions’ consecutive wins over Tennessee and Temple over the weekend.

Starck, the No. 1 ranked recruit in her class per PrepVolleyball.com, racked up 69 assists and four kills over the two games against Tennesse and Temple, including 42 assists against the Volunteers.

Starck and the Nittany Lions, ranked No. 7 in the country, will return to action on Tuesday, September 3, against Louisville.
