Freshman 101: Your Guide To Accessing Penn State Football Student Season Tickets

Penn State football is back in Beaver Stadium in just two days.

If you don’t have a student ticket yet, we know the fix for you. If you do have a student ticket, you better hope your phone is charged and easily accessible when you’re fighting to enter the “best student section in the country by far” at Gate A.

Now that the student ticket lottery is over, Penn State football student season tickets were officially dropped into Ticketmaster accounts this week. The procedure of accessing tickets is more simplified now than in previous years, and students should only need to download the Penn State Athletics app this go around.

Once inside the Penn State Athletics app, the “tickets” tab at the bottom of the screen should direct folks to three choices. To view football tickets, opt for the “manage my student tickets” button and log in to Ticketmaster with your Penn State email.

From here, the seven home football game tickets should appear on a pop-up screen within the Penn State Athletics app. If your Penn State email is affiliated with your Apple account, you can also see your tickets in Ticketmaster and add them to your Apple Wallet. If your Apple ID email address is different from your Penn State-affiliated email, you likely can’t access your tickets in the Ticketmaster app or browser or add them to your Apple Wallet.

However, there’s a workaround for this issue with the help of the folks on the other end of the 1-800-NITTANY customer service line, and Penn State Athletics employees can manually adjust your Penn State email to attach to your Apple ID, allowing students to add tickets to their Apple Wallets. Penn State Athletics customer service is actively reminding callers, though, that the addition of 135 new wifi access points in and around Beaver Stadium should minimize connectivity issues, and using the Athletics app to scan tickets at Gate A will work just fine.

So long as students have easy access to the Penn State Athletics app or Ticketmaster and have located the scannable bar codes attached to each ticket, gameday entrance should be a breeze come Saturday. If complications arise, it’s best to call 1-800-NITTANY sooner rather than later and expect to wait to speak with an employee.

Now, get excited to be a part of 107K strong and for Penn State football to kick some Bowling Green behind.
