Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Two

In Happy Valley, Penn State football pulled out an ugly 34-27 victory over the Bowling Green Falcons Saturday. In and around the college football landscape, though, plenty of once-Nittany Lions put up firm performances at their new schools since departing State College.

Let’s check out how these familiar faces fared in their respective programs.

Christian Veilleux, Georgia State

Quarterback Christian Veilleux repped Georgia State for the second time in his career after transferring from Pitt. Veilleux dazzled in the Panthers’ 24-21 win over Chattanooga and threw 26 completions on 38 attempts for 238 passing yards and two touchdowns.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn

Pass catcher KeAndre Lambert-Smith aimed to build momentum after he started the season with three catches for 80 yards in the Tigers’ 73-3 win over Alabama A&M. Lambert-Smith hauled in another touchdown this week to end the game with two catches for 30 yards in Auburn’s 21-14 loss to Cal.

Keyvone Lee, Mississippi State

In his second year with the Mississippi State Bulldogs, running back Keyvone Lee is still searching for his footing. The Florida native ran the ball nine times for 35 yards and a touchdown in the Bulldogs’ 30-23 loss to Arizona State. Lee also hauled in two catches for 11 yards.

Cristian Driver, Minnesota

Wide receiver Cristian Driver had two receptions for 26 yards and one touchdown in Minnesota’s 48-0 demolition of the Rhode Island Rams.

Other Notables

Coastal Carolina wide receiver Malick Meiga reeled in two passes for 33 yards in the Chanticleers’ 40-21 victory over William & Mary.
