Saquon Barkley Named NFC Offensive Player Of The Week

On his debut for the Philadelphia Eagles, former Penn State running back Saquon Barkley was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week for his performance against the Green Bay Packers.

Barkley ran the ball 24 times for 109 yards and two rushing touchdowns, while also racking up two catches for 23 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown during the win.

Barkley, a Pennsylvania native, played for the Nittany Lions from 2015-17. During his time in Happy Valley, Barkley established himself as one of the best running backs that college football has ever seen.

Barkley finished his collegiate career as Penn State’s all-time rushing touchdown and total touchdown leader before getting drafted at No. 2 overall by the New York Giants in the 2018 NFL draft.
