Bo Nickal To Fight Paul Craig At UFC 309 November 16

Former Penn State wrestler Bo Nickal is set to fight Paul Craig at UFC 309 on Saturday, November 16, in New York City, he announced Sunday.

Craig, who hails from Scotland, stands at 6’3″ and 185 pounds. He’s competed in UFC since 2016, holding a 9-8-1 record over that time. However, Craig has lost four of his last five fights most recently against Caio Borralho in May.

At Penn State, Nickal was known as one of the country’s best collegiate wrestlers. He won three national championships and finished with a record of 120-3. After his college career, Nickal trained out of State College for Dana White’s Contender Series and then the UFC.

In the UFC, Nickal has held a 3-0 record and only had to take fights to the second round at the latest. He most recently submitted Cody Brundage in 3:38.

Nickal was most recently rumored to fight Jacob Malkoun in early June, though he denied the fight was ever scheduled.

“I am looking to step UP in competition and move forward,” Nickal wrote. “Y’all will hopefully see me back towards the end of the summer. God bless.”
