Penn State Student Farm Club To Host Harvest Festival September 19
Despite the lingering warm weather, fall is upon us, folks!
To get Penn Staters into the autumn spirit, the Penn State Student Farm Club is holding its annual Harvest Festival from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday, September 19.
The festival will be held on the farm located at the intersection of Big Hollow Road and Fox Hollow Road and is free to attend. Guests can enjoy live local music, participate in arts and crafts, indulge in seasonal farm-fresh food, and learn more about the student farm’s sustainable projects.
The event is set to host a variety of local vendors, from Taproot Kitchen, the Village, Paul’s Provisions, and Penn State Housing and Food Services. There is no shortage of things to do at the festival, as attendees can visit the farm’s petting zoo, check out educational farm booths, plant succulents, and create their own sun print.
Free buses will run continuously between the Berkey Creamery bus pull-off on Curtin Road and the Ross Student Farm from 3:45-7:15 p.m. for those interested in attending. In addition to the event buses, SPIN bike docking will be available by the farm’s main entry gate.
If interested in taking the CATA buses, routes H and HU will run to the farm. Limited parking will be available via the Park Mobile app or with a Penn State Parking permit.
Questions and concerns about the event can be sent to [email protected].
