Penn State Hoops Releases Full 2024-25 Schedule

Penn State men’s basketball’s full Big Ten schedule was released Thursday afternoon, finalizing the team’s schedule for the 2024-25 season. The Nittany Lions will play 20 conference games, nine of which will be played at home, along with their 11 non-conference matchups.

Head coach Mike Rhoades is returning for his second year at the helm after leading Penn State to a 16-17 record last season.

Penn State opens its conference slate on December 5 at the Bryce Jordan Center against defending regular-season champion Purdue. The blue and white will then travel to Rutgers on December 10. After three more non-conference games, Penn State has games against Northwestern on January 2 and Indiana on January 5, which will be played at The Palestra in Philadelphia, before it travels to Illinois three days later.

The blue and white will return home on January 12 against Oregon for their first game against a Big Ten newcomer. On January 15, Penn State heads to Michigan State before facing Rutgers for a second time at home on January 20.

Penn State will face Iowa on January 24 and Michigan on January 27, both of which will be road games. The Nittany Lions will return to the Bryce Jordan Center for home games against Ohio State on January 30 and Minnesota on February 4.

A California trip will come in the middle of February for matchups with UCLA on February 8 and USC on February 11. The BJC will then host Washington on February 15 and Nebraska on February 19. Two more road games follow the homestand, as Penn State travels to Minnesota on February 22 and Indiana on February 26.

To close out the conference slate, the Nittany Lions will host Maryland on March 1 and play an away game against Wisconsin on March 8.

The Big Ten Tournament will be played from March 12-16 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
