Transfer Portal Roundup: Week Four

Week four of the college football season saw Penn State football put up historic numbers in a win against Kent State in a 56-0 blowout. Around the country, many former Penn State players recorded impressive performances of their own.

Let’s see how those who transferred away from the Nittany Lions held up with their new teams.

KeAndre Lambert-Smith, Auburn

Wide receiver KeAndre Lambert-Smith recorded a career-high 156 receiving yards on five catches with two touchdowns for Auburn. Despite the impressive game, Lambert-Smith’s efforts weren’t enough as the Tigers fell to Arkansas 24-14.

Keyvone Lee, Mississippi State

Running back Keyvone Lee ran for 52 yards on eight carries in Mississippi State’s game against Florida. Lee’s efficient game was not enough on the day as Mississippi State fell to the Gators 45-28.

Alex Bacchetta, Rice

Punter Alex Bacchetta only recorded one punt for Rice, which traveled 46 yards in the Owls’ 37-14 loss to Army.

Devyn Ford, Norte Dame

Running back Devyn Ford had a season-high five carries for 21 yards in Notre Dame’s 28-3 victory over Miami (Ohio).

Malick Meiga, Coastal Carolina

Wide receiver Malick Meiga caught one pass for 12 yards in Coastal Carolina’s 43-24 loss to Virginia. Meiga, a former captain for James Franklin, has yet to make a major impact on his new team.
