‘Over The Edge’ Challenge Set For October 8

Most Penn Staters have been to Beaver Stadium, but on Tuesday, October 8, folks will have a chance to see the stadium as never seen before.

The Over the Edge challenge, a fundraising event facilitated by Centre County United Way where people raise money for the opportunity to hang over the edge of Beaver Stadium, is set to make its return to Happy Valley.

Individuals and teams must meet a $1,500 registration rate to participate, with Penn State students receiving a discounted rate of $1,000. In addition to the student discount, there will also be two pairs of tickets to Penn State’s October 5 game against UCLA given to the top two fundraisers.

Funds raised during the event will support the annual Penn State United Way Campaign, which contributes more than 40% of all funds raised annually for the Centre County United Way. Centre County United Way is an organization focused on improving the lives of the community by providing them with more access to resources such as education, financial stability, and health.

There is also a referral credit of $100 for any new participant who joins the challenge and mentions the name of a friend who is already registered.

To learn more about this challenge, folks can visit the Go Over the Edge for Centre County United Way website.
