Penn State Football 28-Point Favorite Over UCLA

After bringing the “White Out…energy” to Illinois last week, Penn State football will welcome its first former Pac-12 opponent to Happy Valley in the UCLA Bruins.

This Saturday, the Nittany Lions will take on UCLA in the FOX Big Noon Kickoff game to close its stint of home games. DraftKings set the opening line for the game at 28 points in favor of Penn State, with an over/under set at 44.5 points. In addition, the money line for the game is set at -5000 for the blue and white, making UCLA a +1800 pick.

So far this season, the Bruins are 2-2 against the spread and 1-3 against the over/under, according to OddsShark. The last time Penn State played UCLA was in 1968 when the Nittany Lions pulled out a 21-6 win.

In its last time out, the Nittany Lions took care of business against then-No. 19 Illinois 21-7 under the lights at a wet Beaver Stadium. The game marked the first-ranked matchup and victory for the blue and white this season.

Despite a two-possession win over the Fighting Illini, the Nittany Lions failed to cover the 18-point spread. Furthermore, the low-scoring matchup missed the over by 20 points, making Penn State 2-2 against the spread and against the over/under through its first four games.
