What Color To Wear To The 2024 Stripe Out

No. 7 Penn State football is set to face Big Ten newcomer UCLA for a noon kickoff at Beaver Stadium on Saturday, October 5.

The theme of the matchup is “Stripe Out,” a tradition dating back to 2015 in which fans wear either blue or white within their sections to create a striped pattern within the crowd.

If you’re unsure what color you’re supposed to wear, visit the official Stripe Out website and enter your section number to determine your color. If you’re a student, get ready for your second straight White Out.

Some folks will say the Stripe Out isn’t nearly as important as the White Out game(s), but you’d still hate to be the one to mess it all up.

Penn State will seek to capture its first Stripe Out victory since 2021. Last year, the Nittany Lions lost the Stripe Out to the future national champion Michigan 24-15. The year before that, Penn State lost to Ohio State with a fourth-quarter collapse. Overall, Penn State is 5-3 in Stripe Out matchups.
