Penn State football was home one last time for the month.
UCLA made the 2,500-mile trek to Beaver Stadium to take on the Nittany Lions on Saturday, but the long journey ended in disappointment for the Bruins. Then-No. 7 Penn State cruised to a 27-11 victory during Saturday’s Stripe Out.
Our photographers were on the field capturing all the action as Penn State tallied another win in front of a crowd of 110,047 fans.
FOX’s Big Noon Kickoff set up the stage outside of the Bryce Jordan Center. The first 100 fans were gifted white cowboy hats.
A sea of fans greeted the Nittany Lions as they walked into Beaver Stadium for the last time until their November 2 game against Ohio State.
Penn State took the field for warmups ahead of its first West Coast matchup in the Big Ten.
The Nittany Lions took the field surrounded by a striped-out Beaver Stadium. It’s worth noting the student section was not full. Students, please show out for your Nittany Lions.
The first quarter was scoreless for both teams. However, in the second quarter, Drew Allar tush-pushed into the end zone for a 7-0 score.
Allar found Tyler Warren with a five-yard touchdown pass to take a 14-3 lead into halftime. This touchdown brought Warren’s career total to 17, breaking Pat Freiermuth’s record for the most touchdowns by a tight end in Penn State history.
The Nittany Lion defense held the Bruins to 260 yards total yards on the afternoon.

Kaytron Allen found the end zone and finished with his new signature “boom” celebration. A.J. and Big Justice approve.
Ryan Barker replaced Sander Sahaydak as that starting kicker, making both of his field goal attempts.
After a long hiatus, the Nittany Lion was crowd-surfing again.
Liam Clifford caught a 57-yard bomb from Allar. The wide receiver totaled 107 yards on three catches on Saturday.
Penn State prevailed 27-11, with a late UCLA touchdown. That’ll be it in Happy Valley for almost a month.
Penn State will face off against No. 11 USC at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.
