Penn State Field Hockey Stays At No. 17 In NFHCA Poll

Penn State field hockey remained at No. 17 in this week’s NFHCA Division I National Coaches poll. The Nittany Lions have lost their last two contests against No. 12 Iowa 1-0 and against No. 2 Northwestern 7-2.

Penn State has had an up-and-down season. After a weak start, the Nittany Lions heated up going into Big Ten play, though conference competition against top opponents has proved difficult. Despite the struggles, forward Sophia Gladieux became the program’s leading scorer in the Nittany Lions’ loss to Northwestern.

The Nittany Lions will return to play No. 4 Ohio State at 3 p.m. on Friday, October 11, in Columbus. After that, Penn State will continue its road trip with a game against Ohio on Sunday, October 13
