Penn State Wrestling Releases 2024-25 Schedule

Penn State wrestling is back.

The team announced its schedule for the upcoming season on Tuesday, with the opening match set for a home bout with Drexel at 1 p.m. on Sunday, November 17. This comes just a day later after the NWCA All-Star Classic exhibition that will also take place in Rec Hall.

The Nittany Lions will host two BJC Duals during the season. The first will come on Friday, January 31, against Iowa, while the second will come against Michigan on Friday, February 7.

After opening weekend, the Nittany Lions will head to West Point where they will compete in the Black Knight Invitational at Army West Point. This will be a one-day event that takes place on Sunday, November 24. Penn State will then head to Lehigh for a dual at 2 p.m. on Sunday, December 8.

The next weekend, Penn State will host the Wyoming Cowboys at Rec Hall for a 1 p.m. dual on Sunday, December 15. The Nittany Lions will then close out the calendar year a week later when they travel to Nashville, Tennessee for the Journeymen Collegiate Duals on Sunday, December 22.

The Nittany Lions will have its final regular season dual against American University at 7 p.m. on Friday, February 21, before the postseason begins. The 2025 Big Ten Championships will be at Northwestern from March 8 to 9. The 2025 NCAA Wrestling Championships will take place from March 20 to 22 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The Big Ten season will begin in the new year when the Nittany Lions host Michigan State on Friday, January 10. The full 2024-25 schedule is listed below.

  • Penn State vs. Iowa – Friday, January 31
  • Penn State vs. Michigan – Friday, February 7
  • Penn State vs. Maryland – Sunday, February 9
  • Penn State @ Ohio State – Friday, February 14
  • Penn State @ Illinois – Sunday, February 16
  • Penn State vs. American – Friday, February 21

Penn State has won 11 of the last 13 NCAA team championships and is going for its fourth in a row for the first time since the 2011-14 seasons.
