Your Official Penn State-USC Drinking Game
Folks, after three blissful home games in a row, Penn State football is on the road to the West Coast to play USC.
Even if you aren’t making the cross-country journey for Saturday’s game, there are many reasons to drink celebrate. After last week’s win and other top-10 teams’ losses, Penn State moved up three spots in this most recent AP Poll to No. 4, cracking the top five for the first time since 2021.
Whether you’re watching from home, State College, or making the trip to the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, go ahead and crack open a cold one. It’s time for this week’s official drinking game.
- Take a shot before the game starts — Penn State is ranked No. 4!
- Chug your drink if the announcers mention the last time the Nittany Lions beat the Trojans was in 1996.
- It’s baddie, baddie shot o’clock if Penn State wins the coin toss.
- Chug your drink for five seconds if Kaytron Allen or Nick Singleton breaks off a 20+ yard run.
- Take a sip if the announcers talk about the distance between Penn State and USC.
- Shotgun if Abdul Carter gets a sack.
- If Beau Pribula is on the field, take a sip.
- See a Penn State fan on the screen? Take a sip. If they’re in white, take another sip, because why not?
- If Tyler Warren scores his 18th career touchdown, take a six-second chug. Or an 18-second chug just to really commemorate the moment.
- If the Nittany Lions are leading at halftime, take a shot.
- Pour a mixed drink if Penn State is down going into halftime. You’re going to need it.
- Every timeout, take the opportunity to take a few sips.
- Take a shot if the defense doesn’t allow any points in the third quarter.
- Chug your drink if the announcers mention USC’s fourth-quarter comeback from the 2017 Rose Bowl.
- If the Nittany Lions secure the win, take a long celebratory sip; WE ARE bowl eligible.
- If the Trojans win, finish your drink and any other drink in sight. We have a long bye week ahead of us.
As always, have fun, stay safe, and drink responsibly!
