Three-Star Defensive Back Josh Johnson Commits To Penn State Football

Class of 2025 three-star defensive back Josh Johnson has committed to Penn State football, he announced Monday. Johnson became the 25th commit to the Nittany Lions from the current recruiting cycle and was previously committed to Louisville.

A native of Ironton, Ohio, Johnson is rated as the No. 83 cornerback in his nation and the No. 37 overall player in his home state, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. He became the third defensive back commit in the Nittany Lions’ recruiting Class of 2025 and the lowest-rated player in the entire group.

During his junior season playing for Ironton, Johnson recorded 64 total tackles, made three interceptions, and defended three passes, per his MaxPreps profile.
