[Photo Story] Penn State vs. Wisconsin
A raucous nighttime road environment? No problem for the Nittany Lions.
This weekend, Penn State football traveled to Madison, Wisconsin, to face the Badgers in the iconic Camp Randall Stadium. After losing starting quarterback Drew Allar to an injury at halftime, Beau Pribula led the Nittany Lions to a 28-13 win over Wisconsin.
As always, our photographers were on the sidelines to capture all the action. Let’s take a look at some of our favorite pictures from Penn State’s road victory.
Camp Randall Stadium was, of course, gorgeous on gameday.
Penn State arrived at the stadium about two hours before kickoff, taking in the sights of the storied field.
It was important for the Nittany Lions to warm up in the chilly Wisconsin weather.
As the sun set, it was time to get rolling.
After Wisconsin opened with a field goal, Drew Allar marched Penn State down the field and tossed a floater to Nick Singleton, who brought in a one-handed grab.
The defense tried to contain the Badgers, but Wisconsin was able to score a touchdown to take the lead before the half.
Allar and the Nittany Lions had some good plays but couldn’t score again before halftime. Penn State trailed 10-7 at the break.
Shortly before halftime, Drew Allar seemingly injured his knee. Backup quarterback Beau Pribula took the field under center for the Nittany Lions in the second half.
The momentum swung hard toward Penn State after Jaylen Reed picked off Wisconsin quarter Braedyn Locke and returned it for a touchdown.
Wisconsin followed with a field goal to make it a one-point game, but it didn’t take long for Pribula to lead Penn State back down the field and throw a touchdown pass to Khalil Dinkins.
The Nittany Lions added six more points not long after thanks to a 24-yard touchdown run from Kaytron Allen.
The defense sharpened their approach in the second half, holding the Badgers to just three points.
Once the clock finally hit zero, it was all smiles from Penn State.
