[Photo Story] Fall Foliage Paints State College In Vibrant Autumnal Colors
Who doesn’t love fall at Penn State?
As the seasons began to change in Happy Valley, the trees of campus and beyond changed colors, brightening the school with hues of red, orange, and yellow. The fall foliage is one of the things that make autumn in State College so special, so our photographers set out to capture some photos of the changing seasons.
Let’s take a look at some of our favorite photos of this year’s fall foliage.
The bright colors added some pretty views for students on their walk to classes.
No matter where you were looking at Old Main from, it was probably framed by some beautiful trees.
Many other Penn State landmarks were framed by the foliage, too.
Students soaked up the final weeks of warm weather and non-dead trees.
No matter where you were on campus, there were vibrant colors everywhere.
Downtown State College had its fair share of foliage, too.
The famous Penn State squirrels and other campus creatures use the fall season to get ready for winter.
When you get up close and personal with the near-falling leaves, you can see how every leaf paints a different picture with unique patterns and colors.
Soon the leaves fell and hit the ground, losing their color and signaling the coming of winter. At least they made for some good leaf piles.
