Penn State Football Rises To No. 4 In College Football Playoff Rankings

Penn State football rose to No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday evening. The jump came after the Nittany Lions defeated Washington 35-6 in the White Out game on Saturday. The Nittany Lions were seeded No. 6 and projected to face No. 11 Ole Miss.

Penn State and Texas moved to the top four after previously ranked No. 4 Miami lost to Georgia Tech 28-23 and No. 3 Georgia lost to No. 16 Ole Miss 28-10. The Hurricanes fell to No. 9 and the Bulldogs are now at No. 12.

As for the rest of the top 12, Ohio State and Oregon still make up the top two teams in the nation and Indiana bumped to No. 5.

Penn State heads to West Lafayette to face Purdue at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 16. The game will air on CBS.
