Penn State Football Remains No. 4 In College Footall Playoff Rankings

Penn State football remained at No. 4 in the College Football Playoff rankings, released Tuesday evening. The Nittany Lions stayed put after defeating Purdue 49-10 in West Lafayette Saturday evening. The Nittany Lions were seeded No. 6 and are projected to face No. 11-seeded Georgia.

The top five remain the same as last week. No. 1 Oregon just snuck by Wisconsin 16-13 but remained in the top spot, No. 2 Ohio State handled Northwestern, No. 3 Texas was in a close one with Arkansas, and No. 5 Indiana had a bye week.

However, a lot happened in the rest of the top 25. No. 6 BYU was upset by Kansas, No. 12 Georgia beat No. 7 Tennessee, No. 16 Kansas State lost to Arizona State, No. 18 Washington State lost to New Mexico, No. 19 Louisville fell to Stanford, No. 21 South Carolina defeated No. 23 Missouri, and Florida upset No. 22 LSU.

This week will feature some more big games. No. 5 Indiana is at No. 2 Ohio State, No. 6 Notre Dame will host No. 19 Army, and No. 14 BYU will head to No. 21 Arizona State.

Penn State will travel to Minnesota to take on the Golden Gophers at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, on CBS.
