Report: Andy Kotelnicki Expecting To Interview For West Virginia Head Coaching Job

Penn State football offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki expects to interview for the head coaching job at West Virginia, per Mike Asti of WV Sports Now. Kotelnicki has led the Nittany Lions offense for a year after leaving the same role at Kansas.

Kotelnicki’s Penn State offense is ranked No. 19 in the country for total offense and No. 30 for scoring offense. Penn State’s 2023 offense, run by Mike Yurcich until he was fired after the Michigan loss, was ranked No. 55 for total offense and No. 12 for scoring offense.

West Virginia fired head coach Neal Brown earlier on Sunday. Brown led the Mountaineers to a 37-35 record across six seasons and finished 6-6 in 2024. Kotelnicki and the Nittany Lions took care of West Virginia 34-12 in their season opener.
