Tyler Warren Named Kwalick-Clark Tight End Of The Year
Was there ever any doubt?
Penn State tight end Tyler Warren was awarded the Kwalick-Clark Tight End of the Year, awarded to the Big Ten’s top tight end of the regular season, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Warren is having a historic season for the Nittany Lions with 81 receptions for 978 yards and six touchdowns. Despite being a tight end, he’s also rushed for 189 yards and four touchdowns.
The award was created in 2011, named for Penn Stateβs Ted Kwalick and Iowaβs Dallas Clark. Warren became the second Nittany Lion to win the award, succeeding Pat Freiermuth, who won the award in 2020.
In addition to being named the top tight end in the Big Ten, Warren is also a finalist for the Mackey Award, which honors the best tight end in the nation across all conferences. Warren was also named to the All-Big Ten Football Team, as selected by Big Ten coaches. He joins lineman Abdul Carter as the only two Nittany Lions to receive individual awards this season.
